Start a New SkillsUSA Chapter
Any South Dakota middle school, high school, or post-secondary institution with a career and technical education program can launch a SkillsUSA chapter. To start a new chapter you simply need to get permission from your administration, present the opportunity to students, and then enroll your members. Your official charter will be presented at a later date by your state association, usually at a state conference.
- 1Get approval from your school administration.
- 2Present SkillsUSA to your CTE students.
- 3Enroll your members through the national registration system.
- 4Run your Program of Work and enter regional, state, or national competitions.
- 5Receive your official charter at the state conference.
